Ellie Shaw

Ellie was adopted from TX as a baby and has lived in the Meridian/Eagle area all her life. Ellie is a vocalist who plays piano, fiddle and jazz violin. She is part of a songwriting duo with her mom, Kiley. Ellie writes melodies in the style of tunes from the 1940’s with room for jazz improvisation. She has been performing as “Swingin’ with Ellie Shaw” since 2010. She started songwriting as a way of keeping The Great American Songbook alive by adding her own voice and creating future Jazz Standards. She is a recent graduate of NNU with a degree in Global Communication with an emphasis in Chinese and Music. Ellie has an old soul and loves how music can bridge the gap between generations. She hopes to encourage more young people to take up songwriting.

Dave Moss

Dave Moss was adopted out of Pocatello and raised in the Boise area. He is a self -taught guitarist with a passion for autobiographical lyrics. He writes songs to share his perspective on living life, in hopes that it will resonate as a message to all humankind around the world. He is a past member of The Decade Blues Band and SoundHawk, and is currently playing in the Double D Brothers with Don Cunningham. He has been with the Postal Service since 2003, working as a Mail Carrier. Serving Meadow Lake Village Retirement Community allowed him to connect with the residents as a performer (in addition to delivering the mail!) and this in turn inspired him to participate in the ISA forum for the first time. Since then he has been an active member of ISA and is currently serving as president.
