Walt Huntsman, President
Born in Washington, Walt Huntsman has written songs off and on since his teens. After a lull of several years, an ISA event in 2014 inspired him to resume his songwriting and begin sharing his original songs at the ISA monthly forums. A resurgence of songwriting followed, with over 900 songs being written since then. He has a blog site where he has shared over 750 original song lyrics. “For me, songwriting is like breathing. I have to do it, or I’ll die.” Walt is a frequent presence at the ISA forums, having taken the stage more than 80 times with his wife, Teresa. Now he records and performs with her in the duo “Seattle Goes South.” Walt also hosted 39 episodes of the “Measured Voices” podcast, which showcased local songwriters.
